Meet Chairman Chapman L. Good, Sr.

Chapman was born and raised right here in Page County. Both of his parents have been life-long residents of Page. His dad, Ikey Good, has been a sheriff’s deputy for 42 years, and his mother, Lisa Comer, spent two decades as a nurse. He has lived in various places in the county, and at one point or another, all three of our towns. Chapman attended Luray Elementary School, and then, back before our county had middle schools, he graduated from Luray High School in 2001.

Before and after graduation, Chapman worked various jobs in and out of the county. He’s worked at Little Caesar’s and Wrangler, for several local contractors building houses, laying carpet, and laying shingles, and just before joining the Marine Corps, he was a truck driver hauling construction equipment. In 2005, Chapman joined the United States Marine Corps, as a Rifleman. He served in various roles, deployed twice to Iraq, and ultimately left the Marine Corps as a sergeant after 8 years.

After leaving the Corps, Chapman continued his education at George Mason University in Fairfax. He graduated from Mason in the winter of 2016, and then started his legal education at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason in 2018. Chapman graduated the night school program in December of 2021, passed the Bar, and became a licensed attorney in April of 2022.

Chapman entered private practice immediately after passing the Bar. He practiced criminal defense, family law, and general civil law for three years before joining the Page County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 2025. In November 2025, Chapman was elected as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Page County, where he currently serves our community.

Chapman has been a life-long conservative. He believes that hard work, equal rights, free enterprise, limited government, strong national defense, and a firm moral foundation are essential for success as individuals, and as a nation.
